LTCOL Schon G Condon RFD (Ret'd) GCJSJ

2015 - April 2024

Schon G. Condon GCSJ, RFD is a well-known and respected Chartered Accountant and business leader, and the founder of the Condon Associates Group, where he leads a team of accountants, financial analysts, and specialists in forensic accounting, personal and corporate insolvency, and business turnaround. Schon is also an active member of the Australian Army Reserve, having served in the Royal Regiment of Australian Artillery, attaining the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and previously commanding the 23rd Field Regiment, RAA.

Serving as Prior of the Priory of New South Wales from 2015 until April 2024, Schon provided steady leadership during a period of significant growth and modernisation. He remains committed to supporting the Order’s mission, advocating for a strong public presence as a charitable institution, and upholding the core values of aiding the disadvantaged and assisting those in need.

Peter Shilton GCSJ CMSJ OMSJ

2012 - 2014

HE Bailiff Peter J. Shilton GCSJ is a former international airline executive and currently serves as a part-time government consultant and company director. He was Chairman of the Sydney–San Francisco Sister City Committee for 25 years, and also a Councillor and President of the Australian American Association.

His wife, Susan, a medical doctor, is also a member of the OSJ, and Peter supports her in a medical services business. During his term as Prior, he played a key role in restructuring the OSJ to prepare the organisation for its next phase of growth and success.

Peter was appointed a Bailiff in 2015 and holds the title of Prior Emeritus.

Fred Maestrelli GCSJ OMSJ MSSJ

2007 - 2011

Fred Maestrelli GCSJ OMSJ MSSJ is a former senior public servant and recently retired lecturer in business administration and accounting. During his term as Prior, he reorganised the administration of the Priory and succeeded in expanding its membership. He currently serves as a Conventual Bailiff on the Petit Conseil of the Order in the role of Grand Hospitaller. Fred remains active through his involvement in various community and charitable organisations.
